Teens, Parents and Respect

    Yes, being a teenager is something different with every generation.  It is also the same in some areas per generation as well.  Parents learn very quickly how to raise a teenager.  The key word is: Challenge.  You knew it would be a challenge as soon as your "sweet baby" turned a teen.  The year 2019 has shown teenagers in a completely new territory.      Social media, video games, music/lyrics, music videos and cable shows take our teens away from the family unit.  The things teenagers are missing would shown them value, education, nature and other important lessons in life.  The ideology of fame and violence has some of our youth in a whole other world.  As I look around and observe people interacting, I'm shocked.  A 10 year old girl, who looked 15 years old and strings for an outfit, would be cursing at her mother.  Grandmothers would be barely walking themselves, while trying to hold on to a screaming...

Kindergarten 101: Honesty and Respect Using Words

          Yes that's right!  We learned honesty and respect when walking into the classroom on the first day of kindergarten.  Maybe some are too old, forgetful or refuse to believe we all learned how to be respectful to others (without touching) with our words.  The words used today in songs, social media posts and toward one another have been a cause for division.  This type of division used to be between races only.  Now, it's within the races also.  Why?  More importantly, who is creating this division within each race?  No matter who has started it or how they began it, WE NEED TO ADDRESS IT AND CHANGE IT!  How?  Lets start with RESPECT!  Once we truly have respect for ourselves, we can have it for another.  Easier said than done, huh?  Yet, positive reinforcements, goals, spirituality and healthy living are great starts!  The main objective is consistency.  Self...
