The Loss of a Parent

      The loss of a parent is felt different by everyone. The grieving can last from days to months to years. No one person can say how another should feel a specific way or react.  Actors and actresses can do only that, act.  The depth to which an individual grieves can only be determined by the person.  Strength in the person comes from something greater than themselves.  They have to go through all their personal process of grief in order to recover appropriately for their lives.  Their lives have forever changed due to the death of their parent, whether they were close to the parent or not.  Lives are changed and movies only depict a summarized portion of how grief effects it.       The recent death of my father has led me to watch more movies, ironically.  He and I would talk about everything 3 to 4 times a day every day.  Now, I watch movies as one of my pass times.  Some are supposed to represent the ...

The World's Mirror??

                       The world has changed so much. I’m beginning to wonder how to explain it to my nieces, nephew, former clients, God children and other children 18 and under.   There’s crime on majority of the television shows; movies are mostly about sex, drugs, money and murder; people walk around with a chip on their shoulder like the world owes them something and customer service sucks!   Don’t get me wrong, it’s not everywhere, just majority of the places our youth are.   Even schools have become more dangerous because teachers are sleeping with students, students are selling drugs in school, more fights are occurring, more students are being bullied more severely and weapons are being carried for protection.   Not to mention, we have a President whose actual moral character is questioned daily because of what comes out of his mouth.   No one is perfect!   Should a human being be chasti...
