What Is Going On In Our Country

Today is a day when I just need to vent!  How does a hardworking, young intelligent black woman get a break!?  I've noticed the struggle from some of my close friends and family.  Why?  I ask is all this chaos going on in the world.  It remains me of what I learned in high school.  The economy will cater to the rich and the poor will get shitted on!  Why?  Don't those rich people need!  If they are too high and mighty to get their hands dirty, they send away immigrants, discriminate at the workplace, harass everywhere; how will anything get done.  Medium to low-income people live check to check and/or have very little savings to live on.  How is this plausible to the economy?  There is no extra money to spend on the rich's Gucci bags, Dash clothing and Giuseppe shoes.  The only people indulging in those pleasures are people who are rich...PERIOD!  The other group of people who are buying these items are not of the medium or low-income bracket, yet there is a different type of competition.  This is why you see all these celebrities with the same shit one!  They made their own lifestyles this way and then want to complain about it.  If you are in the strip club spending $20,000, don't complain when you owe the IRS or you have someone stealing from you. I can't give you sympathy.   It's their choice!!!!

Many celebrities, on the other hand, donate to charity, are modest and don't live an over excessive lifestyle.  You mean to tell me: I can get a big butt and big tits, go work at the most poppin strip club; and make more money than the person who goes to work at a hospital and/or a youth center every day, 12 hours a day and STILL live less comfortable than the stripper????  YES YES YES!!!!!  This is not the way I want our next generation to grow up thinking:  "I'd rather be a stripper than a nurse" !  BULLSHIT!!!!!  This is unjust in itself. We are not coming together as a nation to protect our children!!  SOME CELEBRITIES, ATHLETES and ANYONE with a platform should speak on this topic.  Like I said, I'm just venting and yes I'm in a room on a computer typing; but I would get up on ANY platform and speak for our future generations!  Think before you act and remember your children could be watching.

Social Media and Our Own Values

The television, computer, cell phone and advertising media has changed the belief system for some Americans.  There are schools across the world teaching computer technology (with social media examples) over religion, cultural differences and unity among all.  Additionally, people are more exposed to the harshness of reality and mimicking what they see.  How do people see more violence, hatred, body shaming, drug abuse/overdoses, money glorification and sexual immorality?  Mostly through the media!      The stories about Serena Williams and Les Moonves (CBS former CEO and Executive) have taken  over the social media scene this past weekend.  They have crossed all different topics such as race relations, sports, history, women's rights, violence, sexuality, embarrassment, LOVE, RESPECT, honesty, fear, acknowledgment, trust, lies, misconduct, power abuse, working class, sexual aggression, family, mother/daug...

Are politics being run by fame, notoriety and wealth?

Are politics being run by fame, notoriety and wealth?                                                 The world today is different compared to just a year ago.   Everyone seems to be touchy and sensitive about everything.   Some people are marching just to be marching with their friends, not knowing the true cause. If a celebrity is doing it, he/she is more likely, going to have a following.   The fame, notoriety and wealth status has led to the election of our most recent president.   Realistically, hos moral character was not a factor relating to his election!   The more fame he gained from his political fight came from the misconception about his many business ventures.   Highlighting the word misconception because majority of pe...

Our Youth's Education is at Risk!

There was a woman (race not important for this) on television the other day.  She was being interviewed by a female reporter.  Forgive me, I can't recall the station nor the show because the content grabbed my attention instantly!  The middle-aged woman was crying to the reporter.  The woman told the reporter she did not want to tell her students to go to college.  Yes, the middle aged woman was a teacher!  She continued by saying she couldn't bare to see the faces of her students when they found out she lied about their futures.  The teacher stated if she told them going to college would lead to a successful career and a great life, she would be lying.  When in reality, she further spoke, a person graduates from college with tremendous debt, working a underpaying job, and struggling to balance family time vs. work to pay bills time.         I had to sit back and...
