The Money Goal

Wondering why we have homelessness, drug addictions, sexual abuse, incarcerations, hunger and violence in our world today?  Look around!  It's on the news, social media outlets, on every corner, played on the radio, in our schools, on our televisions and everywhere we turn.  The youth today have role models from the strip clubs, gangs, the music industries and prisons.  Very few seek positive role models from educators, doctors, lawyers, researchers, etc..  Why is this?  The negative is being glorified more than any other entity.  People are fighting EVERYWHERE: from the government to the corner store.  The hatred and disrespect amongst cultures, races, genders, government officials and religions has become outrageous.  We are fighting each other instead of helping one another.  It's like the wild, wild west in our world.  The manipulation, jealousy, lies and disregard for human decency has taken the place of love, honesty and respect.  Remembering money is the root of all evil: take a good look at what's going on and ask again- WHY?

There are low-income, poor or disabled people literally fighting everyday to stay in their homes, survive, put food on the table, go to medical appointments, pay for medication and just maintain.  Yet, when you turn on the media outlets or go outside, you see all types of crimes which have occurred.  Fear becomes a mindset as a result.  The idea of helping our neighbors or someone in need has vanished.  People want the most expensive homes, cars, necklace, the biggest ring, the best seats at an event, the most followers, the most of everything.  Despite it being achieved and received through a lack of something in their lives...TRUE happiness.  When it all comes out or they have been caught at their deceit, manipulation or lie, what happens?  They want to kill someone to cover it up, steal, commit suicide or something just as worse.  Is it worth the embarrassment, destruction of your reputation, loss of self-respect or loss of trust from others?

My final thought to leave you with is this: Our children are watching!

Social Media and Our Own Values

The television, computer, cell phone and advertising media has changed the belief system for some Americans.  There are schools across the world teaching computer technology (with social media examples) over religion, cultural differences and unity among all.  Additionally, people are more exposed to the harshness of reality and mimicking what they see.  How do people see more violence, hatred, body shaming, drug abuse/overdoses, money glorification and sexual immorality?  Mostly through the media!      The stories about Serena Williams and Les Moonves (CBS former CEO and Executive) have taken  over the social media scene this past weekend.  They have crossed all different topics such as race relations, sports, history, women's rights, violence, sexuality, embarrassment, LOVE, RESPECT, honesty, fear, acknowledgment, trust, lies, misconduct, power abuse, working class, sexual aggression, family, mother/daug...

Are politics being run by fame, notoriety and wealth?

Are politics being run by fame, notoriety and wealth?                                                 The world today is different compared to just a year ago.   Everyone seems to be touchy and sensitive about everything.   Some people are marching just to be marching with their friends, not knowing the true cause. If a celebrity is doing it, he/she is more likely, going to have a following.   The fame, notoriety and wealth status has led to the election of our most recent president.   Realistically, hos moral character was not a factor relating to his election!   The more fame he gained from his political fight came from the misconception about his many business ventures.   Highlighting the word misconception because majority of pe...

Our Youth's Education is at Risk!

There was a woman (race not important for this) on television the other day.  She was being interviewed by a female reporter.  Forgive me, I can't recall the station nor the show because the content grabbed my attention instantly!  The middle-aged woman was crying to the reporter.  The woman told the reporter she did not want to tell her students to go to college.  Yes, the middle aged woman was a teacher!  She continued by saying she couldn't bare to see the faces of her students when they found out she lied about their futures.  The teacher stated if she told them going to college would lead to a successful career and a great life, she would be lying.  When in reality, she further spoke, a person graduates from college with tremendous debt, working a underpaying job, and struggling to balance family time vs. work to pay bills time.         I had to sit back and...
