A Tribute to the wonderful Kobe Bryant and his legacy

The tragic loss of a great athlete, Kobe Bryant, was felt all around the  world!  Whether you were a die hard fan or not, the impact of his helicopter crashing suddenly with his 13 year old daughter, Gianna, touched hearts everywhere.  Bryant lived the life he talked about.  He was a family man and a good husband to his wife.  Overall, he was a wonderful person to take lessons from.  All the world should take a page  from Kobe Bryant's Life.  Humble yourself, keep family close, work hard at what ever you do and treat people how you want to be treated.

The family Kobe has left behind includes his wife, oldest daughter and two younger daughters, one of which is under 3 years old.  We should all prayer for them!  The prayers will give them strength and support more than you know.  Let's also pray for the families of the other members of the helicopter crash.  They also need support from the world.  This is not a time to be critical and think about unnecessary elements out of our control.  For example, there was a report stating a Jenner (the famous family) was also using the same helicopter as Kobe.  So!  It's not about her, its about the lives loss that day on the helicopter.  The image she portrays online and in public, a person would think she owned her OWN plane, not renting one.  Let's stay focused on the tragedy at hand and send well wishes instead of it could have been me.

Our individual lives may also have been affect by this as well.  Hopefully, it will make people love their families more and want to spend time with people you love.  We, as a world, should want to treat people better and live your life how you want others to remember you after your life is over.  Attempt to reach your goals and keep your faith.  Everything else will fall in place.

                                  Peace & Love

Social Media and Our Own Values

The television, computer, cell phone and advertising media has changed the belief system for some Americans.  There are schools across the world teaching computer technology (with social media examples) over religion, cultural differences and unity among all.  Additionally, people are more exposed to the harshness of reality and mimicking what they see.  How do people see more violence, hatred, body shaming, drug abuse/overdoses, money glorification and sexual immorality?  Mostly through the media!      The stories about Serena Williams and Les Moonves (CBS former CEO and Executive) have taken  over the social media scene this past weekend.  They have crossed all different topics such as race relations, sports, history, women's rights, violence, sexuality, embarrassment, LOVE, RESPECT, honesty, fear, acknowledgment, trust, lies, misconduct, power abuse, working class, sexual aggression, family, mother/daug...

Are politics being run by fame, notoriety and wealth?

Are politics being run by fame, notoriety and wealth?                                                 The world today is different compared to just a year ago.   Everyone seems to be touchy and sensitive about everything.   Some people are marching just to be marching with their friends, not knowing the true cause. If a celebrity is doing it, he/she is more likely, going to have a following.   The fame, notoriety and wealth status has led to the election of our most recent president.   Realistically, hos moral character was not a factor relating to his election!   The more fame he gained from his political fight came from the misconception about his many business ventures.   Highlighting the word misconception because majority of pe...

Our Youth's Education is at Risk!

There was a woman (race not important for this) on television the other day.  She was being interviewed by a female reporter.  Forgive me, I can't recall the station nor the show because the content grabbed my attention instantly!  The middle-aged woman was crying to the reporter.  The woman told the reporter she did not want to tell her students to go to college.  Yes, the middle aged woman was a teacher!  She continued by saying she couldn't bare to see the faces of her students when they found out she lied about their futures.  The teacher stated if she told them going to college would lead to a successful career and a great life, she would be lying.  When in reality, she further spoke, a person graduates from college with tremendous debt, working a underpaying job, and struggling to balance family time vs. work to pay bills time.         I had to sit back and...
