Why is Everyone So Sensitive?

Most of the world seems to make everything personal and about themselves.  When in reality they are very ignorant to the ideas they spit their comments toward.  The various topics effecting our generation range from what political leaders are saying to one another, the anxiety our children going to school and socializing, the medical insurance companies that are taking advantage of poor, elderly and low income people to what actors/actresses say and experience at their levels in the world.  Asking again: why is everyone so sensitive?  These things have been going for years as stated history repeats itself.  Throughout my research, I have found many of the same problems from the past occurring now.  No one said anything about them then until it became a controversy.  This is the same now.  None of the above topics effecting us now were addressed until social media could bring more attention to them.  With social media people can create this fake accounts, make degrading or derogatory comments about anything they want without repercussion.  This can fall under our freedom to speech act, but us it morally right?

We as a people need to get back to the foundation of LOVE.  We all were taught it in some form.  We should also know the difference between right and wrong.  Looking at our famous people, millionaires, billionaires, presidents, congress, house representatives and others in leadership rolls, do they exhibit what a true society should be.  Not always, but no one is perfect.  Their weaknesses or mistakes do not qualify  them to be tore apart by the media outlets.  Nor does a difference in values constitute as a reason to slander your average individual.  It ha been too many comments and cases in social media where difference between people can cause violence, death and possibly an lifetime sentence in a state prison or self prison.  It can't be worth it to risk your own life for something that has nothing to do with you, your family or the safety of either.

Let's also get back to accepting one another as they are and not trying to make them something they are not.  A  Zebra never loses his stripes or its not a zebra.  Some people may not want to change, but change is inevitably their choice.  We can make the future better for our children and grandchildren, just as our ancestors did.  The world and everything in it was not created to be destroyed but to be elevated to a new, attainable level.

Our Youth's Education is at Risk!

There was a woman (race not important for this) on television the other day.  She was being interviewed by a female reporter.  Forgive me, I can't recall the station nor the show because the content grabbed my attention instantly!  The middle-aged woman was crying to the reporter.  The woman told the reporter she did not want to tell her students to go to college.  Yes, the middle aged woman was a teacher!  She continued by saying she couldn't bare to see the faces of her students when they found out she lied about their futures.  The teacher stated if she told them going to college would lead to a successful career and a great life, she would be lying.  When in reality, she further spoke, a person graduates from college with tremendous debt, working a underpaying job, and struggling to balance family time vs. work to pay bills time.         I had to sit back and...

Social Media and Our Own Values

The television, computer, cell phone and advertising media has changed the belief system for some Americans.  There are schools across the world teaching computer technology (with social media examples) over religion, cultural differences and unity among all.  Additionally, people are more exposed to the harshness of reality and mimicking what they see.  How do people see more violence, hatred, body shaming, drug abuse/overdoses, money glorification and sexual immorality?  Mostly through the media!      The stories about Serena Williams and Les Moonves (CBS former CEO and Executive) have taken  over the social media scene this past weekend.  They have crossed all different topics such as race relations, sports, history, women's rights, violence, sexuality, embarrassment, LOVE, RESPECT, honesty, fear, acknowledgment, trust, lies, misconduct, power abuse, working class, sexual aggression, family, mother/daug...

Deteriorating City

Deteriorating City                         The silent manipulation unfolding among our creation Violence rising, adultery exposed, children shot as they sleep, teens die waiting for a ride to be educated, elderly beaten while just trying to enjoy independence. We watch as surrounding buildings crumble, monuments are distorted with graffiti; gangbangers rob the poor and needy. Shameful actions covered by joyful expressions of so-called power. Mimicking what has been seen, displayed, shown, mocked by small snippets of television faction or media competition for action. Information to some, ignored by none.                Lives taken for granted by no one age group                specifically.         ...
