Still Seeing Red

The Covid-19 pandemic has come to a plateau according to the higher medical authorities, or so it was.  Yet, we are not in the clear.  There are positives and negatives to this.  Some of the positives stated on social media, listed in the medical magazines and discussed on multiple shows are summed up below.  All facts and opinions have not been listed below by any means.  It just gives you a since of where we are in the fight against the pandemic of 2020.

               Positives
       1.  We are given more freedom outdoors and with more people.

       2.  Restaurants and owners, who were missed by community members, are back open.  Dine-in restaurants are open again also.

       3.  People are kinder to one another.

       4.  Michigan and New York residents doing great with following their state's guidelines.

       5.  Medication approval for treatment.

       6.  Overall stabilization for a short while before initial restrictions lifted.

Below, is a small list of the negatives arising more recently.  Let's constantly be reminded we need to take serious precautions when going outside or in enclosed places.  Our safety and health are still at risk.  We have to take care of ourselves first and then others.  So, when you read the list below, think about each one very carefully.  If you can play a part in making it better, then do so with courage.  If you find yourself being part of the cause, think about what you can do to change that.

              Negatives
       1.  Crime-rate has increased since the lifting of some restrictions.

       2.  Lots of restaurants and stores have closed down (not to be re-opened).

       3.  Sports and other events are still a question mark as far as when there seasons will begin.

       4.  People are speeding and driving more recklessly.

       5.  Some people are more hostile and aggressive.

       6.  Overall, people are wearing masks/gloves less.

       7.  Infection rates are rising faster than before the initial outbreak.

Again, please be mindful of the things you do, say and project.  This is a historical time and it should not be full of hatred.  We are learning more about ourselves, other people, our economy, the government, the medical field, other countries and what is really valuable to us.  Please share and comment below.  Thank you. Safe safe. Be kind.

                                                          Peace & Love

Our Youth's Education is at Risk!

There was a woman (race not important for this) on television the other day.  She was being interviewed by a female reporter.  Forgive me, I can't recall the station nor the show because the content grabbed my attention instantly!  The middle-aged woman was crying to the reporter.  The woman told the reporter she did not want to tell her students to go to college.  Yes, the middle aged woman was a teacher!  She continued by saying she couldn't bare to see the faces of her students when they found out she lied about their futures.  The teacher stated if she told them going to college would lead to a successful career and a great life, she would be lying.  When in reality, she further spoke, a person graduates from college with tremendous debt, working a underpaying job, and struggling to balance family time vs. work to pay bills time.         I had to sit back and...

Social Media and Our Own Values

The television, computer, cell phone and advertising media has changed the belief system for some Americans.  There are schools across the world teaching computer technology (with social media examples) over religion, cultural differences and unity among all.  Additionally, people are more exposed to the harshness of reality and mimicking what they see.  How do people see more violence, hatred, body shaming, drug abuse/overdoses, money glorification and sexual immorality?  Mostly through the media!      The stories about Serena Williams and Les Moonves (CBS former CEO and Executive) have taken  over the social media scene this past weekend.  They have crossed all different topics such as race relations, sports, history, women's rights, violence, sexuality, embarrassment, LOVE, RESPECT, honesty, fear, acknowledgment, trust, lies, misconduct, power abuse, working class, sexual aggression, family, mother/daug...

Deteriorating City

Deteriorating City                         The silent manipulation unfolding among our creation Violence rising, adultery exposed, children shot as they sleep, teens die waiting for a ride to be educated, elderly beaten while just trying to enjoy independence. We watch as surrounding buildings crumble, monuments are distorted with graffiti; gangbangers rob the poor and needy. Shameful actions covered by joyful expressions of so-called power. Mimicking what has been seen, displayed, shown, mocked by small snippets of television faction or media competition for action. Information to some, ignored by none.                Lives taken for granted by no one age group                specifically.         ...
